Sometimes it's best to keep it simple, with cars and in life. For the Hyundai Elantra's "You Know, Your Basic Car" campaign, I came up with scenarios where you're far, far better off not complicating things. (Design by Roman Rodriguez.)

Hyundai Elantra: You Know, Your Basic Car

What is a car? 

An aspiration? A statement to the world? 

A trophy to impress some strangers for 30 seconds at a red light?

Nope, not for you. For you, a car is, well, a car. Four wheels to safely convey you to the points in your life outside your home and then back again.

Let’s not complicate this. You’ve got too much to do.

Your car accelerates when you hit the gas pedal; the opposite happens with the other one.

It keeps your commute cool in the summer and your trips to the supermarket warm in the winter.

And, sure, it doesn't look half bad either.

No need for more than that. You'll live without the leather interior.

All you want is enough.

As far as you’re concerned, who could ask for anything more?
